A note from Wild Goose

View of Mull from Iona picture

As we move into autumn, we are looking forward to three new books by some of our best-known authors: Moments of Our Nights and Days – Liturgies and resources for baptisms, weddings, partnerships, friendships and the journey of life, by Ruth Burgess; Walking Through Advent – Daily readings, by Jan Sutch Pickard; and Glimpsed in Passing – Poems, by Joy Mead.

Unfortunately they are not available quite yet, but in the meantime here is a reminder of some of our books and downloads suitable for the late-summer/autumn season and beyond.

(Book and e-book)

Ruth Burgess

A collection of resources for the late summer and autumn period of Ordinary Time – prayers, stories, responses, songs, poems, reflections and meditations, written by Iona Community members, associates, friends and others.

God of the seasons,
you surround us with beauty and wonder:
you smile in the ripening fruit,
you dance in the tumbling leaves.

Teach us to dance with you,
to act justly
and to share fairly,
to love you in friend and stranger
all the moments of our nights and days.
