Liturgy for the Feast of the Transfiguration download transspaser

Liturgy for the Feast of the Transfiguration (PDF download)

Hiroshima Day, 6th August

Norman Shanks

Digital download: A liturgy celebrating the Feast of the Transfiguration which coincidentally falls on the day that the first atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima. The ‘shining power’ of the Transfiguration is compared with the ‘reverse transfiguration’ of the prioritisation of nuclear weapons over human needs. So this is a liturgy of commitment to standing on the edge and working for a transformation to another, more creative and just, world.

Norman Shanks is a retired Church of Scotland minister and a former Leader of the Iona Community.

A Communion Liturgy on the Theme of the Transfiguration download transspaser

A Communion Liturgy on the Theme of the Transfiguration (PDF download)

Thom M Shuman

Digital download: A new communion liturgy to celebrate the Feast of the Transfiguration or to use at other times. We are all capable of being forgiven and transformed.

'I don't know if what Luke tells us is an actual event,  an allegory,
a short story or what.
But I do know that I am called to act on what I believe
and trust in the story.
Which is,
that in Jesus I catch glimpses of what God is doing in the world –
that in Jesus I see someone I want to follow for the rest of my life;
that with Jesus
I find myself on mountaintops
and in valleys
and in every place in between,
but never find myself alone
anywhere.'

Grace Will Walk Us Home transspaser

Grace Will Walk Us Home

A daily discipline of Bible readings and short prayers

(Book & e-book)

Thom M Shuman

In over 30 years of ministry Thom Shuman had taught studies on just about every book in the Bible and had gone through the cycle of Sunday readings many times. He’d spent a lot of ‘professional’ time in the Bible, but realised he’d never really read the Bible from beginning to end to feed his spiritual life. So that’s what he did, each day discovering a word, phrase or verse which spoke to him, letting it play around in his mind, and then writing a short prayer or ‘nudge’. At the end of the year, he had 365 of them, which are shared with you here..

Whispers of Light transspaser

Whispers of Light

(Book & e-book)

Joy Mead

A new collection of poems from Joy Mead – ‘a book of moments, illuminated moments, those times when joy breaks through, when beauty amazes and goes some way towards healing.’

Joy’s poems celebrate what it is to be alive and also, perhaps, what it is to contemplate death.

‘… a poet of great sensitivity, a deeply religious poet, without being a Religious Poet. Her spirituality is grounded in the depths of ‘ordinary’ life – the extraordinary life.’
