A note from Wild Goose

This week we have a new download for Mother’s Day (March 6th in the UK) and some suggested resources for International Women’s Day (March 8th). There’s also a reminder of recent Lent downloads and some of our books for Holy Week, Easter and beyond.

Our other news is that we are moving office from Sauchiehall Street to just south of the river. See our new address at the bottom of this newsletter. We are all packed up and ready to go. Unfortunately we won't be contactable by telephone for a week or so, but we hope to have our new number in the first week of March. In the meantime you can email us as always, although you might experience a slight delay in receiving a response. All orders will be sent out as usual as these go from our distributor’s warehouse.

Poems and stories of passion & resurrection

(Book and e-book)

Rachel Mann

Powerful and moving readings, stories and poems for Easter. The accounts of scapegoating, of power and violence and hope found in the gospels will always be current and significant. The story of Jesus Christ and of those who surrounded him remains a defining narrative of our time. Rachel Mann writes with the voices of the characters involved in the biblical accounts of passion and resurrection, unafraid to explore the darkest aspects evoked by these events. Rachel is an Anglican parish priest and Resident Poet at Manchester Cathedral.

Reflections on the words from the Cross

(Book and e-book)

Neil Paynter & Peter Millar

A book for Easter that is about more than easy answers - that encourages us to seek signs of the continuing Passion of God in the world, not in abstract ideas but in our human bodies and souls. The words of Jesus from the Cross are difficult and challenging. And yet the fact that they emerge from a situation of human agony gives them huge relevance for our times.
