A few years ago the world woke up to the fact that people seeking refuge from war and persecution were drowning by their thousands in the Mediterranean. This conversation in poetry offers words for these times of war; ways of wondering what it means to resist; to suffer with; to bear witness; to seek companionship; to be part of the agony of a family made in love, and parting, separated by land, sea and paperwork.

Now available as an audio download: A one-man play about the founder of the Iona Community. Based on George MacLeod's conversations with the author, along with material drawn from sermons, prayers, diaries, letters and stories, the first half gives a sense of what it was like to be exposed to George MacLeod at the height of his powers. In the second, the old prophet sits in his room and reminisces about his 96 years on earth. Performed by Tom Fleming.

A new collection of 21 songs from John L. Bell & the Wild Goose Resource Group, recorded by the Wild Goose Collective. From various parts of the world - as far apart as Hawaii, Singapore, Mozambique, Glasgow and elsewhere - these are songs intended, as the title (which comes from the words of Jesus) suggests, to liberate us from limited horizons.
Two very informative films about the Iona Community. The Iona Community: Today's Challenge, Tomorrow's Hope was filmed in 2000. Even though now quite 'old', it gives a good idea of life and work of the community. Sermon in Stone was made during the 1960s and includes film from the archives of the Iona Community showing the reconstruction of Iona Abbey from the late 1930s until the end of the 1960s. George MacLeod, the founder of the community, narrates.

Tracing the sometimes sure, sometimes faltering steps of Jesus and his followers through the entire season of Lent, to Easter Day and then beyond, these songs allow us to reflect on their progress, enter their experience and ultimately to make their confusion, doubt, joy and liberation our own. Many are four-part harmony, which will be satisfying for music groups or choirs to sing, as well as being accessible to congregations.
