The basic premise of this Easter pilgrimage is that folk are going to Jerusalem for the great festival of Passover. There is excitement in the air as usual – but this year the anticipation feels greater. Many people have heard about this strange teacher, Jesus: they know he’s going to be there and they’re anxious to see him. Along the way they encounter different people who’ve met him, and who tell the crowd what he’s like. Gradually a picture begins to emerge …
