Two very informative films about the Iona Community.
The Iona Community: Today’s Challenge, Tomorrow’s Hope was made in 2000. Even though now quite ‘old’, this film gives a good idea of life and work at the community’s centres on Iona and at Camas, where hundreds of visitors are welcomed each year. It also portrays some of the organisation’s activities on the mainland.
Sermon in Stone was made during the 1960s and includes film from the archives of the Iona Community showing the reconstruction of Iona Abbey from the late 1930s until the end of the 1960s. George MacLeod, the founder of the community, narrates.
